DSL Xpert™ - FAQ

Question:  I'm trying to install DSL Xpert™. The OS is Win2K, and it has recent Microsoft updates and patches up to roughly a week ago. I am getting several error messages and the install process always stops.

Answer:

The DSL Xpert™ application was designed and optimized to work only on Windows XP OS. Therefore, you will need to re-install it on a PC with the following requirements (taken from the User's Guide) you will not encounter any difficulties:

• CPU – Intel Pentium4 (2.4 GHz minimum) *  

• Operating System – Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

• Memory – 1GB RAM

• HDD – 40 GB free space (minimum).

• HD Speed - 7200 RPM (minimum), ATA serial bus (recommended)

• Communications –USB 2.0 on board.

• CD ROM drive

• Display Resolution – 1024 x 768 (32-bit color).

• NTFS file system **

* DSL Xpert works with Intel CPUs only.

** Using the FAT  file system, it is possible to save recording files of up to
4 Gb.  Using the NTFS  file system, it is possible to save larger files.

 

Note: It is recommended to use desktop PCs for best performance.
