Question:  What are the minimum PC system requirements for running the DSL Xpert™ application?

Answer: The following are the minimum requirements for PCs running the DSL Xpert™ application:

CPU – 2.4 GHz Intel^ׂ Pentium^ׂ 4 *  
Operating System – Microsoft^ׂ Windows^ׂ XP Professional.
Memory – 1GB RAM (2GB recommended for Upper Layers analysis)
Hard Drive – 40 GB free space
HDD Speed - 7200 RPM, SATA controller (recommended)
Communications –USB 2.0 on board
CD ROM drive
Display Resolution – 1024 x 768 (32-bit color).
NTFS file system**

 

Real Time Analysis requires:

CPU - Two Intel^ׂ Xeon^ׂ 3.4 GHz processors / 800MHz Bus / 1MB Cache
Memory - 4GB Memory
Hard Drive - Two 60GB SATA drives, 7200 RPM in a RAID-0 configuration

 

Note: It is recommended to use desktop PCs for best performance.

** Using the FAT  file system, it is possible to save recording files of up to 4 GB. 

Using the NTFS  file system, it is possible to save larger files.
