TraceSpan Releases ADSL Upper Layers AnalyzerIndustry’s first non-intrusive DSL Xpert™ Protocol Analyzer Provides ATM to IP Compatibility and Interoperability AnalysisRa’anana, Israel – January 26, 2005 – TraceSpan™ Communications, a provider of broadband monitoring solutions, today announced the release of its latest test equipment for ADSL2+ multi-layer analyzer. Leveraging patent-pending technology, DSL Xpert™ 2208 breaks new ground as the industry’s only non-intrusive performance-analysis solution for ADSL2+, ADSL2 and ADSL products.
DSL Xpert™ is an easy-to-use modular tool designed for R&D, QA and laboratory engineers engaged in the deployment of ADSL2+, ADSL2 and ADSL standard-compliant solutions. The innovative DSL Xpert™ analyzer verifies the interoperability of ADSL products offered by different vendors, and compares the performance of any combination of Central Office (CO) and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) modems. DSL Xpert™ is a powerful solution for service providers, next-generation ADSL2+ equipment (e.g. DSLAM, DLC, modem, router/gateway) manufacturers, and technology and chipset developers.
“We are proud to announce the launch of our newest addition to the DSL Xpert™ 2208 analyzer – our vendor-independent solution for ADSL interoperability testing,” said Dr. Hanan Herzberg, TraceSpan founder and CEO. “The Upper Layers Analysis Module allows viewing and analyzing ATM traffic, as well as many other protocols, such as ATM, AAL5, Ethernet 802.3, PPP, PPPoE and IPv4. The DSL Xpert is the first non-intrusive analyzer that allows ADSL engineers to view data all the way from the ADSL physical layer up to the IP.”
DSL Xpert™ gives a complete and accurate analysis of ADSL product performance and interoperability without affecting data transfer between the modems. With its unique multi-layer probing capability, DSL Xpert™ Upper Layers analyzer displays and verifies data carried above the ADSL layer. The Upper Layer GUI displays the entire protocol stack (ADSL through IP) from which the user can select the desired protocol. The Upper Layers analysis module also allows exporting of the IP packets to other analysis tools.
DSL Xpert™ accelerates time to market and return on investment by cutting significant time from the development, deployment, debugging and interoperability verification of ADSL equipment.
