TraceSpan's Gfast Xpert™ Supports the 212 MHz Profile
The new profile provides up to 2 Gbps on short copper loops
Ra’anana, Israel, November 26, 2018 – TraceSpan Communications, a leader in broadband analysis and monitoring solutions, announced today that it has enhanced the capabilities of its Gfast Xpert to support the 212 MHz profile.
The 212 MHz profile allows G.fast modems to achieve data rates of up to 2 Gbps on a single twisted pair, on copper loops of up to 100 meters or 330 feet. With this, it provides the customer with "fiber-like" data rates, even in locations where deployment of fiber-to-the-home is not cost-effective.
"As G.fast modems supporting the 212 MHz profile are becoming commercially available, we see more and more service providers who are beginning their massive testing and pilot deployments of the G.fast technology", said Dr. Hanan Herzberg, TraceSpan founder and CEO. "Since the launch of our Gfast Xpert at the end of 2017 we are seeing a growing demand for this product, and now with the 212 MHz profile this demand is growing even further".
The Gfast Xpert is a neutral, unbiased testing tool that helps operators and equipment vendors accelerate time-to-market by cutting significant time from development, deployment and troubleshooting of G.fast solutions.
It is a unique, non-intrusive multi-layer protocol analyzer for G.fast networks and products, which connects to the copper line between the DSLAM or DPU and the CPE, compares the functionality of the G.fast equipment from different vendors and tests their standard-compliance and interoperability. Using multi-layer probing capability it lays out a comprehensive picture of the signals, protocols and traffic running on the line.
TraceSpan is providing a special promotion for its 212 MHz profile module with attractive prices for customers who purchase it before the end of December 2018. This promotion is available for existing customers who would like to enhance their Gfast Xpert to support this profile, as well as to new customers who purchase it along with their new analyzer.
